Mikester, the big difference between the Mi-8 and the Mi-17 is which side of the tail boom the tail rotor is on. Left side means Mi-17, so that's what your picture is of!

212Fire - Sorry for delays. I have been away out of the country a lot and snowed under with mag production. No excuse but have it on the list to send off all the prizes this week.

Apologies.

Ned

Likewise - details sent a couple of months ago and nothing heard back. Would have hoped to receive a quick note from Ned to confirm that something had been sent, as per his reply above.

Its dragged on for a while now and to be honest I'm no longer expecting to receive anything. Whilst a bit disappointed over the prize situation, it was nice to receive recognition from the Helitorque team for one of my photos in the competition.

Really sorry for the delay guys. Have been away in Africa and I know thats no excuse. I do know that the magazines and dvds have been sent. Just have to paypal the payments and will be home on the weekend. For those who won prizes will add another years sub to your prizes to say sorry.

Its very easy to set up a premier account with paypal. Just go to www.paypal.com and follow the instructions for a premier account. Takes about five mins.

The money was send after a couple of insisting messages to Ned. But I never received any magazine as listed as one of the winning items.

Quote Ned as of June the 7th: "I do know that the magazines and dvds have been sent... For those who won prizes will add another years sub to your prizes to say sorry. "

It is nice to start a competition and good to see that the prizes are being won, but it seem to me as no excuse that being away etc. is part of delays. We all have jobs etc. but that doesn't excuse us.

Very curious when the first issue of the magazine is going end up at my house.

Mikester,

I'm sure Ned is doing his very best and I think you need to give the guy a break. Traveling around all the time doing amazing photography work whilst at the same time trying run several magazines is something that requires 48 hours in a day and God only knows how he does it - I'm sure his to-do list must be the length of a toilet roll!

In his "spare" time he has decided to run this competition, which has given people opportunities to develop and display their photography skills, and he has donated the generous prizes out of his own pocket. Much like this forum, there are no costs to you, the members for entering. Whilst there has been a delay in Ned processing the prizes, (for which he has already apologised), I am sure the subscription has been or is in the process of being dealt with.

Best wishes,

WhirlyGirl Cool

September 15 2008 seems to me as a break long enough to process the subscription. Still nothing..

Cheers!

Mikester,

Please take this issue up with the magazine directly - HeliTorque has nothing to do with the sending out of Heli Ops Magazine subscriptions.

I can however point you to Heli Ops own forums, which might be a more appropriate place to post your query.

Cheers,

Sarah
