Found this, might be useful for some of you...,

We are looking for motivated team players for whom safety is the number one priority. Flexibility and a cooperative attitude are also attributes we value highly.

Current JAR licence CPL H, ATPL (H) theory
Type Rating on S76A+ or C preferred

The above positions are open exclusively to Pilots who have operated the S76 within the previous 4 years & hold a current IR.

Pilots currently employed by CHC Scotia transferring internally may qualify for a relocation package.

Do you get the feeling that 'they're' primarily looking for existing CHC P2s who'd like to move bases and/or P2s disgruntled with working for the 'competition' Rolling Eyes

That said if you have the hours, and a current IR it wouldn't do any harm applying, just realise if others tick more of the wish list boxes they'll be ahead from the outset.

Indeed Pilotwolf, i don't have the hours nor an IR. A move from existing P2's doesn't sound that strange but, there might be a chance for some helitorquers i think...JP comes to my mind?

Good luck for everyone applying!

Cheers....

I don't think CHC have any disgruntled competition... only CHC pilots are disgruntled right now... probably why they are hiring to cover for the guys ready to pack up and leave them!

"S76 type rating and IR within 300 hours"

2 out of 3 but I've applied,

Fingers are dually crossed, mums and her church is praying for me and I sacrificed a small virginal Goat this evening.
Im hoping I can get the option to dust off my knee pads in preparation for some top level groveling.

Gary, I thought your website specifically excluded virginal goats.

Hi pilot types,

this is my 1st post,so be gentle with me Twisted Evil

How long before demand outstrips supply of qualified crews again? a few yrs ago we did study showing more people set to retire out of industry than being trained (under JAR). Yet it seems the industry could lose a lot a potential crews who have to go find real jobs just to survive.

Will there be a sudden surge of companies trying to grab highest qualified once one starts open recruitment? Or is this going to be permanent future for industry? Not looking attractive for potential new students with no hope of career after spending equivilent of 1st 2-3yrs salary to get trained (if they ever get break)

Is there any light at the end of this tunnel that isnt headlight od an oncoming train?

I applied to BOS and CHC, not even a "get lost" reply

OK, whinge over

Very Happy

Ah ha, I wondered because MIKNI 3E is very familier. Who does IR's in the S61 sim nowadays?

Getting in without a Scandinavian language is tricky, but not impossible. I didn't speak a word of Norwegian when I started, still I am not fluent but get by and am attending a lingo course. Some of the other "non-locals" have never even made an attempt to learn any of it.

Best of luck,

HH
