There seem to be quite a few pilot jobs around at times but very little ground crew jobs.
I am looking to change career path before i get too old and would like to move into helicopter ground crew/ flight operations but rarely see any jobs advertised.

Unfortunately i dont have any flying hours but do have quite a few ground handling/ marshalling hours under my belt.

Working with helicopters would be my ideal job but maybe a general look at aviation may be the answer.

Martin

Hi Martin,

I have very rarely ever seen an advert for helicopter ground crew. If you were able to relocate I would guess Aberdeen is your best bet with the big 3 operators up there. Failing that you could always find employment in the GA handling side of things with a company like Signature Flight Support, who have FBOs spread round the country at the major airports. I worked for ServiceAir for a while before I got into flying full time and although it was all airline and cargo handling I still quite enjoyed it.

Good luck...

Thanks 3B, think it will be ground crew/ flight operations in general rather than helicopters.

Hopefully going to do some pleasure flying ground crew in the future .

A long road but will stay where i am for as long as possible
