Hi All, Just wanted to share a video with y'all that I made last week in the Alps. It's very much helicopter oriented to begin with but some nice scenic shots once it gets going. Hopefully you may enjoy Smile

Some great shots

1. What were you filming with?
2. How did you solve the flickering issue?

i liked your titles too - the style and the timings worked really well - nice feel.

i noticed you had some flicker - it's probably from the render; if you re-render it'll probably disappear - i used to get it with final cut when you did some hot/heavy computer work whilst rendering out - frustrated the crap out of me.
Fantastic idea for a project - let me know if you do any in the UK - i'm not interested in production anymore but i'll happily do some flying for you.

Thanks Animalsticks,

It was shot on the EOS7D, handheld with a gyro, and stabilised a little further in post...

Your right I have noticed a few annoying artefacts that would we sorted with a re-render I believe. I'm was only on a 2007 macbook (travelling light), using usb 2.0 and it struggles at the best of times. iMac and firewire800 would no doubt help some of the issues. More annoying than any technical issue though is that on some of the shots I had spots on my LENS. ARGH! Very irritating as once I spotted them it's all I see in those shots, which I still wanted to keep in the edit as it's not for a commercial client.

I'm a pilot too, and was primarily instructing in the Alps, but enjoy video production when the subject matter is interesting, I do jobs in the UK from time to time, powerboats, sailing, properties etc... Where I usually do the flying and let a friend operate my gear, but it's a kind offer and i'll be sure to bear you in mind. Cheers

Mike T - Congrats, all that time in the 22 with me obviously paid off Wink Joking aside I wish you all the best moving forwards cap'n!
