Greetings all,

I just moved to Essex (Colchester) from N. America and I am looking to see if anyone knows of a school in the Essex area that rents/trains on the 300CBi? I have an FAA license so I would prefer the 300 as that is what I have flown. I work in Central London so any airfields SE, east, or NE of London would likely work for me.

I am really struggling to find much online as it seems a lot of the schools have ceased trading. There is a website that eludes to a 300CBi at Southend but I can't get in contact with anyone about it!?

Any leads would be appreciated.

For what it's worth, if anyone knows of any groups existing, or forming around a 300 or Enstrom please let me know.

Regards, -Jason

Hi Jason,

You are right, there is one at Southend, would you like me to forward you the contact details of the owner/instructor?

There is also one at Helicentre Aviation in Leicester if you don't mind a drive?

J.

Hi Jason,

You are right, Lee's website is unavailable and no answer on the number I have.

Hope all is okay with him..

You could try putting a post up on that other helicopter forum from which you may get a response as I know Lee is a member there.

They only have the single ship which looks very busy.

So give Helicentre a call in Leicester they have 2 S300's and some other toys to play on if you are interested.

London Helicopter Centres at Redhill did have one but I haven't seen it recently.

Advance helicopters at Shoreham have a nice black one.

I did exactly the same thing, and I ask myself the same question quite often. Wink Boston to Colchester.

Did two hours with Virage last weekend. Had a lot of fun. I am now on the schedule to fly later this month and in March. The addiction is back!

Already trolling various websites to scope out restaurants and hotels to fly to this summer for lunch.
