I dont feel i can voice my opions about the helicopter industry as a whole on this site. This supposed to be a open forum where freedom.of speech is paramount. It seems certain people wont accept criticism and like to try and intimidate me with solicitors and libel court cases. I say to this people do your worst. Your only making it worse for the industry. Thats why I wont be on this site anymore, theres no point.

- Forums are privately owned.
- Owners can be legally responsible for what is posted.
- Your opinions are just that - your interpretation of a situation, not necessarily fact.
- Some of the people you are slating are regular long term contributors here and well respected in the industry.
- Your posts have been responded to appropriately.
- Your choice to post here or not, the majority of yours seem to be complaints.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out...

Great attitude, Hardbottle, you will make a wonderful student at some school. Just don't choose mine, you will not be welcome. And before you front up to a school, you might want to learn English grammar, spelling and punctuation. First impressions will last.

There are sites available to people who want to mouth off at others, but this isn't one of them.

Byebye.

Firstly. you have no idea who I have dealt or have experiences with in the industry.

Secondly, I am not a 'yank' as you put it, I am British. However my wife is American so I don't appreciate your racist remarks/name calling.

Thirdly, only you seem to be able to justify your opinion - no proof and a perfectly reasonable explanation was given by one of those you chose to slander.

Finally, your tone of posting just confirms why you probably weren't welcome or felt mistreated. If you spoke to me like that at my business you'd be out the door before you'd drawn another breath.

Think you might want to reconsider your choice of hobby or career as the helicopter world tends to be fairly close knit and with the attitude shown you're not going far in it.

All I have seen of you on here Hardthrottle is bitching and moaning about certain schools, individuals and their proven methods of education. I have been told by several different people from opposite ends of the spectrum in the helicopter world that in order to get on and progress in the business your face needs to fit and you need to have the right ATTITUDE, from what I have seen you would fall out with yourself if left alone for any length of time so I don't think you have either of these attributes.
As the poster above said, probably best you find yourself another hobby/career to take up and then criticise. I'm sure you will slam the door on the way out Wink

Firstly yanky doodle dandy , calling someone yank is racist .you need your head tested.

Secondly knowing how greedy you heli schools are you would never turn down money no matter what attitude people have.

well if you want proof come and speak to the students here and see what they say.

Show me a good school and I glady go and join it

No you need to grow up - name calling tends to stay in primary school - assuming you have left school?

I don't work for a helicopter school but I do know that the risk of a bad student isn't worth any amount of money given the potential losses. If this is too complicated for you try reading some AAIB reports.

I have flown plenty of hours in the UK - not for me but doesn't mean the schools are bad.

There are plenty of good schools worldwide, no doubt a few bad ones too but there are far more bad students... I'm thinking that you've been told that you simply cannot (are incapable of learning to) fly helicopters and this has been backed up by other schools?

Guessing by the [BLANK] in all your posts you can't stand by your opinions and false statements you've made?

I have turned away wealthy people because they could not meet the demands of aviation. One was a merchant banker who paid me $25,000 up front. After using up $12,000 of it in multiple repeats of ground school lessons and many flights which showed that he had no talent, I gave him $13,000 back. he was surprised but grateful. I could have just burned his money, but I have ethics.

Another was a very experienced 747 captain (25,000 hrs) who had a PPLH with 700 hrs and owned his own H500. He wanted to train up to commercial standard, but after some general training and his first nav trip I told him he would never cut the mustard - he couldn't fly the aircraft, read a map, make a radio call and operate the machine all at once - his training allowed him to tell a copilot to do the extras, but he couldn't do it himself. Again, he was grateful, and gave his money to his son, who was also grateful.

Hardthrottle, you are really being a d1ckhead with what you are saying on this forum. If you don't like it, go away. We would prefer it that way.
