anyone effected by the BRAC.. i am ,,, i work at Red River Army Depot and the US wants to shut down the Depot... over 3,000 jobs to loose. either we will be transfered to another base or they will let us go..

BRAC ( Base Realignment And Closure)

the list is posted on the DOD (department of defense) web site, but i am sure that if you are on it you for sure know about it...

Pepper - Had a look at the BRAC list and there are some interesting decisions, but hey when it comes to shaving the budget by 50 Billion somethings have to go.

i do agree with ya, thing is that some of the towns that surround the bases will go down as well. we just added about 5 miles of shopping area's in our town and more poping up every day..

on a good note. if we do loose and have to shut down, the goverment will either relocate you or help you find another job..
the war has cost us alot!! 50 mill, would for sure help!!! some hard decisions people have to make..

the job i am doing right now, transmissions, i would get moved to Annaston AL (spelling?).. the other jobs, not really sure....
