I am looking at getting a garmin 530 with a TAS system overlayed on the GPS system, you can also link the 530 up to a stormscope and in the future it will be able to get the weather from the SatCom...Hope that helps

I have used the honeywell system...

I think that TCAS will become alot better once we are all Mode S and it is mandatory. We will then be able to use TCAS if people choose to invest the $20k to its full extent.

I personally will probably wait for the 2 years until Mode S is in (although I have a demo booked), but my ONLY reasons for this are that TCAS cant see things which arent sqawking and I think it could create a false sense of security and that the technology between now and then will advance and become cheaper...

I have a customer who is Professor Collinson.

He is moving house this week so I shan't be able to call on him anymore.

The Best "Collinson Avoidance" I shall ever have I think.

TIC,

FF
