Now this time the right things appeared at the top of the page - so I did it.. but there's not much zoom on the photo (guess I have to pay) - then I found the street map!

Pin on roof.

FF,

Some areas are lower quality than others. I am sure google will get around to doing them all at high quality eventually.

I think you'll find I'm not in a lower quality area!!

If you do a check on your local geography using Multi-Map, they do say on there that if you wish to buy that view, the printed one they send will be of good quality (resolution) and I know this to be true having done it for another address.
The MultiMap set up was when some chap thought it would be a nice thing to photograph all the UK. So he set off one day in a plank with several rolls of film and did the job. Actually I think there were about 4 planes involved and it took about three years (I did write this all out once) and now they do worldwide too. Some areas according to their website have very good definition and are coloured in yellow on the map to show which - mainly large conurbations by the look of it.

There is a rather large expensive book on display in our local Waterstone's bookshop, which is the UK from the air. I seem to remember the price of it is well over

When I put my pin on the other day, it turns out I live in a field!!

It is the same as Google Earth, obviously, which is at least 4 years out of date. My house (and estate) were only built 4 years ago.

Luckily though, it is in a High Quality area - the mapping is quite good too Laughing
