SEA KING ANNIVERSARY MEMORIAL SERVICE


WHAT: Memorial services commemorating the first anniversary of the Navy Sea King Helicopter tragedy will be held on the 2nd of April, in Indonesia and Australia.

WHO: NIAS SERVICE
The Minister Assisting the Minister for Defence, the Hon. Bruce Billson MP, Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr Bill Farmer.
Chief of Navy Vice Admiral Russ Shalders and Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Geoff Shepherd, the Maritime Commander Rear Admiral Davyd Thomas and the Head of Australian Defence Staff Jakarta, Brigadier Ian Errington

WHEN: Nias Service - 9.00am (Nias Local Time)
Sunday 2 April 2006

WHERE: Nias Island, Indonesia

Details of the commemorative service to be held in Canberra will be released separately.


MEDIA NOTE
The time difference between Australia (East Coast) and Indonesia will be 3 hours.
(0900 Nias = 1200 Canberra).
