hey, a fellow Canadian! congrats on finding the forum and making the decision to become a CPL(H). Been to Cranbrook a couple times lately nice little place! where abouts are you thinking of starting you training? a better question to would be when and how much are you planning on spending? be advised it will be alot! Congrats again eh!

thanks Logan, well i still havent decided as to where i want to do my training, theres a place close to town, forget the name of it at the moment. I did some research yesterday and it looks like ill spend around $50,000 in order to get where i want to be. becoming a fixed wing pilot is a bit cheaper but the pay in the end isnt as good as a CPL with lots of hours and the right job. i have family in london, i could always move there and train with all the nice folks that reside on this forum! What would most of you guys and gals suggest i do?
Train here in Cranbrook, or move to the UK, stay with my family there and train amongst the kind folk?

i agree with windswept there guy! although Canada and the UK are family, it might end up costing you a bit more to move everything to London, then pay for your training which (from what i know) looks like it could cost you a bit more then doing so here! Plus Cranbrook sits in the mountains, get your CPL(H) done there with a mountain rating! Ide suggest searching for the different schools in and around Cranbrook. I spent about a week looking and callin up all the schools close to Calgary, even as far as Grand Prairie and Vancouver to look up prices and there reputation! hope that helps!
