I sent an email this morning and got a reply back witin a couple of hours. I used my work email address which may be the key. The previous email was sent from my gmail account.
Perhaps they dont replyto gmail/ hot mail accounts.

The next course is in April in Yorkshire

I am interested in doing this but would have to stay overnight . Need to confirm if i am able to get the time off work.

If anyone is interested, PM me and i can send you the prices etc, not sure if i should put that on the forum .

Thanks
Martin

Its Monday 26th April 2010 at the Whitcliffe hotel Bradford.
They have negotiated a room rate for people to stay at the hotel the night before and the one after if need be.

I represent the company that runs these courses.

The course in Yorkshire scheduled for 24th April is currently under-subscribed, but there are still several people who have yet to decide whether to attend or not. The deadline for registering interest has passed, but I am prepared to extend the deadline until midnight tomorrow.

Unless we have sufficient numbers, it is unviable to run this course.

Those of you on this forum who have registered the intent to attend will receive an e-mail on Thursday with the outcome. I apologise if this causes you inconvenience, but based on the interest that has been shown in these courses, I was expecting a much higher take-up.

Please contact me my e-mail address is in my profile if I can help in any way.

It looks likely that we will have to cancel or postpone the course.

It seems that we will not achieve the minimum numbers to make the course viable.

I would be keen to discover why the initial high interest rate has diminished. Please let me know if it is because of:
    Financial reasons,
    Geographical reasons,
    Work or other commitments,
    or anything else

I am very disappointed to say that I doubt if there will be any change to the situation before the deadline of 24.00 today, if there is I will be in touch by e-mail to those who have expressed an intention to attend.

I apologise to all for any inconvenience this potential change of plans will cause.

I'd be interested but at the mo the cost is an hours training which I need first. The geographical location is also awkward for me since I'm way down the country in South Wales.

bom,

Thanks for your input.

We have the ability from City & Guilds to hold our courses anywhere that meet their accomodation requirements - rest areas, classroom facilities, refreshment areas, etc. A hotel with conference facilities is ideal.

If groups can come up with the numbers - minimum of eight, maximum of twenty - we will come to a suitable venue near to you.

Our difficulty is satisfying a course of people from all over the country, we have to go for a centrally placed venue.

Please keep the feedback coming, we're here for the right reasons - to improve the standard. Please help us.

OK folks, time's up.

I have officially pulled the plug on the April course.

Please give me feedback on how we can acheive this to everyone's satisfaction.

We are here to raise the standard, but it looks like we need your help to do this.

All comments welcome.

This is not good.

For those of us who wanted to do the course, had registered their interest to get out of a crap job they are in to do something they want to do. It could have been a step in the right direction.

Its the same with life in general, people register their interest but then when it comes to the crunch nothing happens.

TRC, will email you

I've just re-read my posts from Wednesday, and it looks as if I'm blaming people on this forum for the cancellation.

I'm sorry if it reads that way to anyone else, I didn't intend it to so, it's just a clumsy bit of writing.

No offence intended to anyone who uses this forum.

Ive spoken to a few people over the past few days, and had a bit of feedback from others about these courses.

The main reason emerging for the low take-up seems to be the distance some people would need to travel to a centrally placed venue we had interest from the far northeast to the south coast, and several points in between.

I would be delighted to run courses all over the country, but the problem will always be numbers. We are dealing with a very small niche, but based on the amount of special events, pleasure flying, etc that takes place in the UK I thought that there would be sufficient interest to warrant running these courses.

I would like you, and any of your colleagues who are interested to tell me where you want these courses to be run dont forget, we can do this almost anywhere.

I would also be interested to know if running courses at weekends would be more convenient.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you.
