Hi people

As i'm sure you are aware i'm new to all this so please bear with me, due to forth coming back surgery it has put my quest for a ppl/h on hold till probably 06/ anyway my research tells me due to the ??/$ exchange rate it is approx ??3000 cheaper to learn in the usa, could anyone please tell me what are the pitfalls of doing it this way if any and what is the transition from an faa licence to a caa, ie is there another exam to take to fly in the uk, any help would be most appreciated.
