Well it's been almost 1 year since I obtained my PPL(H) and I have to say it has to be one of my best personal achievements, having waited almost 30 years to be able to afford to sfh.
Yesterday I finally agreed to take both my daughters for a flight after nearly a year of nagging......now with a little more experience I felt it was time.
As I'm only rated on the R22 it would have to be 2 flights, (Not managed to talk the wife round to a 44 rating yet).
I was intending to shut down for the change over as I have not done a change over before. The CFI where I sfh from ofered to assist in the passenger change to save me a few quid stating up and shuting down, (nice chap) so i took him up on the offer.
Here are a few photos:

Biggest daughter first

Power check and photo opportunity

The change over

A big thumbs up approval from my youngest

The end result was a great day, 2 beaming kids and no arguing in the car on the way home, happy days. Very Happy

Well batted sir!

Kinda nice feeling, isn't it - being able to share the experience!

I took some friends up last year...... their 6yr old was grinning for the first 5 minutes...... then fell asleep for the next 25, until we landed and they were trying to get her out!!! Rolling Eyes

paddywak,

You accomplishment is great! Greater is you have shared your love of heli flight with your own children who will treasure the memory for a lifetime.

It is a wonderful experience when a child gets to 'fly', but more so when it is their Dad who is doing the flying!

Safe flying, and your children are beautiful.

Regards,
AB
