Thanks again Flip, nicely explained. Have you considered writing a book on Nav in plain english ( for guys like me) to help students? You could make a fortune.

I think there's a market for it, a friend of mine leant me his Oxford ATPL Nav book which is good but probably more info than I need. That said fore warned is fore armed.

With ref to CP and PNR , this is very useful stuff and easier to get your head round

I'm glad I was able to help (and hopefully not add to any confusion!)

I've not seen the Oxford notes, but it definitely helps to read a few different books to get a different perspective from time to time
