Hello Guys,

Firstly apologies for the intrusion but I'm struggling to find places online where I might get some direction and this place seemed to be the best place.

We run an annual event in the UK raising funds for the Air Ambulance service we've been doing it for years we have a forum where we've raised thousands and via our event we've raised equally thousands.

This year we are in a new venue Prestwold Hall in Loughborough and we are looking for an iconic helicopter to drop into our event and stay for the day or night if possible and after we finish on the Sunday 8th Sept then take off.

We host an event based on Rc Helicopters called the RCHA Flyin

http://www.flyin.rcha-uk.com/

We had hoped to get the Huey from Blackpool but there busy - so trying to find another option.

Can you guys give me some assistance on this please and maybe point me a few directions.

Of if someone on here is able to help out even better.... Smile

"Huey" also has a Loach - have you asked if that's available?

Also, its not that clear in your original post, are you looking for somebody to fund the visiting helicopter, or is there funds to go towards it? (Just helps prospective parties gauge viability).

Hello apologies for the delay abit manic in planning things. Yes we asked about the Loach and both are not possible.

A fee is a possibility we are willing to look at a relocation fee to cover fuel costs etc + free food on site Smile keep you guys well fed plus maybe have a go at some rc heli flying.... Smile

I was going to look at bringing one of our 500s up, but at 1hr 15 each way, even at cost, it is probably prohibitive for you. And would have to depart late afternoon on the Saturday.

Have you asked the guys at Leicester International Air Hub? They may have a 'Nam spec R44 that could drop in? Wink

Its quite a short hop for them to get to Loughborough?

Hi there.

I do quite a lot of fundraising for the Hert's AA trust.

Have you asked the trust (that you are raising the funds for) if they could assist with a fly-in or fly-over, by the Air Ambulance?

Just a thought..... Wink

Hello apologies for the delay

We've been spoilt because we've been raising for Notts and Lincs for the last three years and they have always just come to the event, landed and if they got a call shooted off.

This year is our first year in a new region and they operate very differently. The will fly by or hover just over for a little but not land unless I suspect they see a substantial benefit for them.

So its bit frustrating as I appreciate there view whole heartly but equally its 10mins from there base...

So we've been searching for corporates to help put and local companies but with just a short deadline and the clock ticking were rapidally running out of options. Augusta Westland said they will discuss and come back to us but I'm loosing hope.

Anyone able to help us please let us know... Sad

I suppose I should come on here a bit more often, but I've been a bit busy for the last few years !!

I am pleased to report the local Air Ambulance did make it into the event on Sunday, a little bit later than planned as it got retasked as it was almost overhead.

I missed out on being the pilot for the day as it was my Dad's birthday, but I did end up being involved in surveying the site, once it had been decided by greater authority that the aircraft was going.

I did get to pop in on the Saturday and it was a brilliant event, I wish I'd had longer to spend there, my kids loved it (and I might have enjoyed it a bit, too).
