Who has been enjoying the fireworks over the last couple of evenings then?

'fraid it wasn't me......but it does sound creeepily like being a war zone!!! Have been on the computer doing some VERY IMPORTANT STUFF and listening to fireworks resounding around the conservatory!!! Sounds like I could be in IRAQ!!!
Still, after a couple of bottles of the good 'ol Cabernet Sauvignon who cares!!! Fireworks are still GOOD!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I couldn't agree with you more. I don't remember ever before noticing the continuous explosions until this year. I popped my head out of the door last night, and it was distant explosion after distant explosion. Exactly the same sounds that you hear on news reports from war correspondents.

And then the somewhat eerie sight of houses being silhouetted by flashes of fireworks; which, in turn, light up the plumes of smoke eminating from bonfires.

Tonight hasn't been so bad - didn't last as long, I don't think, but around 1900-2000, it was much the same.
