Dan's Vertol photo is a very deserving winner.

I'm afraid I disagree. It's a great shot of snow in the Rocky mountains or wherever but it's a poor shot of a helicopter. Sad

You're absolutely right. Scenery doesn't contribute anything to helicopter pictures at all!

Of course it does, but I would at least like to see a chopper in the shot and not just a spot in the bac ...

I just thought that 1024 or even 1200 pixels wide does more and the detail of the chopper does the pic more justice. But it is my first ever chopper pic. Hoepfully I can share more in the future. :thu ...

The gallery resizes images as they are uploaded

It's just that a pic I uploaded at 1024 pixels wide has been reduced to 800 pixels in the photo comp gallery. Confused
