hi

from my experience no instruments ever required for utility flying. go offshore, ems, some twin charter operators etc then yeah instrument rating would be good for you.

normal VFR utility ...

for every one running the 196 or 296, do they come loaded with all the aviation info, or do you have to load different countries onto it?? Obviously its good for oz, anyone from nz got one???
