Hi all. First post here on HeliTorque. I was working at Sandtoft yesterday but wasn't aware of any fly in. Only just found about the fly in so have registered here too.
I was the one in the R22 G-IIFR doing what may have appeared to be some poor flying. (honestly, it was the wind. The student was doing it. We were practicing downwind quickstops. Or some other lame excuse!)
Hope you all had a great day and hopefully i'll get to meet you sometime in the future. I'll be sensible I promise.
PS I think I have flown with Beastie if he is who I think he is. Oh and the registration G-EFOF on the R22 from east Mids made me grin.

Hi HeliPort - Welcome to HeliTorque!

We certainly saw you buzzing around yesterday - was great to have some action to watch. Did you see our heli line-up?

G-EFOF is a couple of year's old now, but the reg continues to have that reaction... Wink

Yes I saw the line up. Never seen so many helis at Sandtoft at one time. If i'd thought about it, I could have got a good aerial shot of the helo's when they were on the grass. Never mind, maybe next time.

Fly safe all.

Note to Heliport.........

Sorry we didn't get to meet up with you at Sandtoft

But, if you can manage to join us for a HeliTorque 'get-together' that would be good. Looks like Abingdon is the next HeliTorque get-together!! Also, you absolutely must check in for the Weston helidays......

I am researching venues at the moment for the HeliTorque Summer fly-in!!! I am checking out country hotels on the east coast - for eg Scarborough, and neighborouring areas......

Any input of a suitable venue from fellow Helitorquers would be greatly appreciated.............

Found one that sounds perfect - I am just waiting to hear if we can use the farmer's neighbouring field to land at least 6 helis.

This place is called:

Hackness Grange Country House Hotel. Check it out and see what you think.

Note bene: I am still checking out more venues Cool Cool Cool

Next "mini fly-in" is 8th April - thread here

And Catwoman, we did start to talk about summer fly-ins in the "Helitorque Fly-ins 2006" thread, - a view to flying to the South West, to include Dunkeswell and Lundy.... More ideas the merrier though!
