As a newcomer to your website, I noticed there is no forum for helicopter displays. I have been involved in displaying the RAF Chinook for a number of years and there are a number of impressive helo displays around, from R22, all the way up to the Chinook and formation teams such the Blue Eagles.

Is it time to start a helicopter displays forum, especially as the display season has just started in the uk? Rolling Eyes

Sounds like a good idea - welcome to the HT site! Have you posted a biggy of the pic you've used for your avatar in the Gallery? - looks very impressive..

Chinook Display - Welcome to the forum.

Had the chance to work with the Aussie Army Chinooks a couple of years back and had a blast, you fly an amazing machine. Also been lucky enough to go logging with your civvie counterparts in the jungles of PNG.

You would prob find the best forum to post about displays etc would be in the upcoming events section as this covers both displays and events.

Cheers

Ned

Back in the 70s, when the Aussie Chinooks still belonged to 12 Sqn RAAF, they had a wonderful display which was a pair of them in a "mating dance", and at the end, the ramp of one opened up and a baby Chinook, about 6 ft long, popped out!
