We have visited the Weston Manor Hotel today, and it seems like a great place for the Christmas party. We have provisionally reserved 20 dinner places at the hotel, but basically they do need some commitment within about a week. In other words, if you would like to join us it would be very helpful if you could:

I was asked today if there was going to be another HeliTorque Christmas 'Do'!!!

It would be good if we could have another super HeliTorque Christmas Party.

If we can get the Arrow Mill again, who would be interested in coming along.

Also what date!!! Probably the beginning of December (say 2nd or 9th) would be best. But, if you could give us some idea, then we could go ahead and book the room for dinner, and find out the position on available accommodation for that night.

The Arrow Mill is extremely friendly, down to earth, very helo-friendly!!! Has a relaxed atmosphere - almost home-from-home!!!

But we need to make a fairly quick decision on this, as we found last year we were struggling to find a suitable venue with enough accommodation, etc.

You may even be honoured with a visit from the donkeys that belong to Margaret!!!!

I've not been to Arrow Mill before (but have heard a lot about it) so that's fine by me!

Agree we should try a date early in December to avoid the rush.

You will like the Arrow Mill - Dennis, the owner of the Arrow, was at the HeliChamps today. I wish now that I had introduced you!!!!!! He is wonderful and eccentric, and brilliant fun!!!!

It was good to see you, and your lovely lady wife, Helen, and your two gorgeous children today at Sywell. (That little Katherine of yours is absolutely delightful!!! Kieron is a cutey too!!!)

Didn't we just have such a lot of luck with the weather - the whole day was perfect!!!

How did your photos turn out from today? We haven't had chance to post ours on the site yet..........

Hopefully we will get quite a few 'takers' for the HeliTorque Christmas Bash 2006........

Hope to see you, and your lovely family, again very soon.

We're up for The Arrow - 2nd or 9th December is good. Definately not 16th. And 23rd's probably a bit late, isn't it? Wink

2nd or 9th would be good for me.

Not sure if I will be staying, may just drive up for the day and evening. Its only about 75 miles home, hour or so driving.

Don't want to arrive dressed like Santa but wouldn't mind arriving in the 109.

That lottery win must be on the horizon soon.

So!!! What DOES anyone think about the 2006 Christmas get-together? And, would anybody be interested in The Arrow Mill?

Photos on the forum can be viewed from the 2004 Christmas Bash at The Arrow. A very, very helo friendly hotel!!! Great 'mine host'. Interesting building!!! Very relaxed atmosphere!!! Chilled out breakfast company with 'mine host' and his wonderful wife, Margaret, and maybe the occasional pet donkeys coming in to say hello!!!!

As the BBC Breakfast Team have resolutely pointed out, on a regular basis, there are only about 130 days to Christmas!!! So that means our Christmas Bash would only be about 114 days away if we decided on 9 Dec for the Bash (unless 2 Dec suits more heli members).

Anyway HeliTorquers, over to you!!!

I have to ask how many bods are interested, because if we DO have a Christmas get-together, I need to make arrangements for room bookings, etc..........

Thanks all,

Catwoman

They could be the founder members of the "Mini HeliTorquers Club"!!! Mine and blme's granddaughter, Mia, will become a member also!!!
