Hi folks,

Another newbie here, Working up at Aberdeen, thought I'd post a few pictures of the flying offshore taxis.

Although not involved in the rotary wing world on a professional basis (I work for a regional airline), helicopters have always fascinated me. Spent many hours,as a kid, at Longside airfield watching these machines.

Anyway on with the pics....

Is that fourth picture of a Bell 214 Super Transport? Haven't seen too many of those. Nice pictures by the way, thanks for sharing them

It certainly is a 214ST, the only one left on the UK register and one that my father spent many years working on.

Good pics,

Interesting that the Bell 214ST in your pic had a wheeled undercarriage but the pic on G-INFO has skids. Must have been changed somewhere down the line

Cheers for the comments.

Re the 214, when they were delivered in the early 80's they had skids installed. At some point shortly afterwards circa 1983/4 the skids were removed and replaced with wheels.
