Just to let you all know that we will be conducting essential maintenance to HeliTorque over the next couple of days, so please do not be alarmed if the website is not accessible for a time!

Due to it's popularity the site has massively out-grown the server resources originally assigned to it, and we need to make some changes and upgrades to the server configuration to ensure it continues to run smoothly as it grows ever larger. We thank you for your continued support and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause - we hope to get the upgrade completed as quickly as possible.

Many thanks,

WhirlyGirl Cool

We should be all up and running again now. Thanks for your patience!

If you spot any bugs on the site or things that have stopped working following the upgrade, I would appreciate it if you could post on this thread.

Many thanks,

Just logged in (Friday 08:15) and the text looks MUCH clearer! Great improvement - or is it because I downloaded IE7?

If it's part of the works from the weekend it's good.

Yes, that was an update we made late last night after various comments about the fonts not showing up correctly in certain browsers. Glad it's easier for you to read!!

There may possibly be a few occasions today where access to the site is intermittent as we are carrying out some more scheduled maintenance today, however, all being well there shouldn't be any noticeable effects. Just to warn you in case you can't get in temporarily!

New fonts definitely look sharper in Firefox!

I've been using IE7 on one machine at work for a week and a bit now - and took the plunge installed at home the other day, too.

Not sure I like the "ClearType" option on it - most text is generally clear enough for me to read, and the extra anti-aliasing from that, just makes it look strange!! Still, I'm sure it's useful to some - perhaps more modern equipment might make a different.... (This unit is getting on for five years old now!)
