Hey I'm famous I can assure you there are better reasons for being on HeliTorque
I expect I'll drop in Sunday morning sometime. Give me a bell on my mobile over the weekend and we can arrange to meet up.

I'm thinking of driving over to Sywell Sunday, if the weather holds.
So if anyone is planning to be over there, drop me a line. I have been known to stand the cost of a cuppa or two. |

I don't think we'll be able to make it folks, I'm going mountain flying around Snowdonia on Monday morning, so we'll be driving up there tomorrow to get an early start.
Maybe see you there next year...

it was amazing, probs about just as good as last years, there was the russian team with their fold away mil mi34 - they shipped it round in the back of a lorry, lots of robbies, bwt 4 enstroms and few h500s only 1 JR tho - very upset apart from the weather being miserable it was a good day, lots of action too |

Craig, where were you then, me and mum got to sloanes at 12:30, spent most of the day in the pilotsmess balcony bit, and in the refuelling place near the tower with the ppl down there - got blown away by the enstrom 280 that landed there did you see the brantly b2, if you did then that means that you were there while we were, tbh i think they sound horrible, except they couldnt have been as bad as the mi-34 - try and imagine two 44s both with two engines, constantly revving! its like the russian and radial version of the jetranger - even though it looks more like a mock version of the original yoh-4
and im going to stop ranting on about radial engines and russians now |

Oi !
That B2B belongs to my dad and at 34 years young (the machine - not dad) it's in great shape with a strong, reliable engine! It's far superior to any new R22 in both handling and speed. Okay, it does sound "different" I'll give you that
We were there on Saturday for the Nav's - not many entries this year and hardly any Mil. How did you get on Rotorboater? _________________ TC - Pilot to the Stars.

Sorry! it does sound a bit - roary, i just think it looks a little dated, and i cant understand why the bubble on the cockpit is soo close to the m/r! ive got a nice video of it coming into sywell though, and i have to admit - the mi-34 sounds worse! |

Sorry JoMo if we blew your lunch away, we needed fuel and 4 other guys had just left their machines on the other side of the pumps.
TC - Good to see you there, we unfortunatly had a plug lead short out just before the precision and had too much of a mag drop to do the rest of the events so ended up pants but theres always next year!
Good event though, more of you should come & have a go.[/quote] |
