USA - Navy
Douglas VC-118B Liftmaster (DC-6A)
Quote: | BuN 128424 was configured as a "VIP" transport bird. It had a beautiful mahogany and teak wood interior, plush carpet, full kitchen, full master suite (office, bedroom and bathroom). When the aircraft was in active service at NAS Barber's Point Hawaii in March 1982 it was not painted on the underside. It was polished aluminum and shined like a baby's behind! Thanks to former crewmember, Elden Baker, for the background info on this aircraft. |
