The absence of:
- Other operators using particular items of kit; and
- Quantifiable data to show the benefit of said kit; and
- Demonstrating that the operator should have been aware of said data; and
- Proof that having the kit would have resulted in a different outcome
Are all major hurdles that would have to be overcome in any potential litigation Sad

Hence crew room discussions seem to go on ad infinitum about STASS, J-knifes, immersions suits, neck and zip style on immersion suits, helmets, ANR, nomex... but not much changes.

Employees turning up with their own safety kit never seems to go down particularly well either! Laughing

HELMETS TO BE WORN ON "PIPELINE" IS STRICTLY TO THE RULE!

Helmet attire for training and CAT is not called for - at the moment!!!!
