World Superbikes - Silverstone, this weekend.

Landing Fee = 160, with 100 parking for the day Twisted Evil
We're going, for the full 3 days - in a little old Jetty 206 - 780 quid, plus the entry tickets, food, the odd little pressie Wink

You must be joking Heliair! (or Silverstone Circuit - whoever) Shocked

Do you know how the prices compare with the Grand Prix? Is it parking in the middle of the circuit or the new site used by Heli Air this year?

I'm told that the GP was 360 landing Shocked not sure on parking though.

Not sure where on the circuit they would want us to park, but I'd park anywhere (and Turweston is as good a place as any Wink ) for a reasonable fee, but I'd half expect my own Limo Transfer, toilet, grandstand and a dinner thrown in for those costs!

You own and/or fly helicopters therefore you must be rich and be able to afford rip off fees...

There was no parking for the Grand Prix and the heliport was on the southern edge outside the circuit to avoid all arrivals/ departures overflying the crowd.
A lot of helicopters came out to us at Turweston, 57 on the ground.

Turweston is a great airfield, reasonable landing fees and not far from the circuit by taxi on the back roads.

They did a 4x4 transfer cross country to the circuit for the grand prix, surprised they dont do that for the Superbikes. May be worth checking with them.

I may be there Sunday
