HI everyone, just a quick heads up to a charity fly-in that we are arranging for 2nd October at Goodwood Aerodrome. It is aimed solely at rotorcraft and is all in aid of the Sussex Air Ambulance. Goodwood have agreed to waive landing fees if you are uplifting fuel, all that we ask is £5 per aircraft which all goes to the air ambulance. All other donations will of course be appreciated and those not flying in are also welcome to attend and come and have a look at the aircraft. We will be running a BBQ at Phoenix Helicopters for everyone attending. We have the air ambulance coming in and also the Cabri G2 and R66 for people to have a look at among all the other aircraft that will be flying in.
We really need the support of helicopter owners and pilots to fly in and make it a success for the air ambulance. Hopefully we will get some interesting types flying in.
A big thank you to all that attended on Sunday, it was a great day and we plan to build on it next year...watch this space. Everyone had a great time and the guys from the Air Ambulance were chuffed to bits. We got some very generous donations, so i think it was a success in terms of fund raising and also raising awareness within the community. Thanks again to everyone who turned up in aircraft and to support on the ground. Read the full story here: http://www.phoenixhelicopters.co.uk/news/first_heli_expo_a_triumph/
