Hi guys and girls.
I have a question for the UK guys.
At my FTO we have a guy with an IR(H) and type rating on Bell 206 expired 3 years and 2 months ago, on a UK certificate.
He is now looking to renew them.
In danish CAA, training determined by the authorities is required, in addition to PFC.
I recall that its different in UK CAA though. What is the procedure over there?
I seem to remember something about within 3 years, training as determined by FTO and PFC. More than 3 years, authorities decide the amount of training.
F8.5 Renewal of Helicopter Type Ratings
If less than 5 years, must complete 2 hours on type within the last 12 months then take LPC. Head of Training has discretion to increase the amount of retraining required.
If he has grandfathered IFR type rating on the B206, he should renew the Instrument Rating with the LPC. Not sure the practicalities of that unless he can find a B206 which is still IR certified?
LASORS can be downloaded off the internet for all the details.
