Our happy bunch will mostly be wearing yellow high viz.
My sister will have an orange jacket as will the "primary" heli-marshaller probably.
I will be the tall fashion challenged one in the orange "boiler-suit" and high-viz jacket.
If in doubt just ask for Gary and someone will point me out...

Still planning to go in the car....
Good news is:
I have a couple of spare seats!! Only in a Rover I'm afraid though, nothing with rotors this time.
We'll be leaving from the Wellesbourne area as I am doing some training tomorrow then departing for Abingdon on Sunday morning by car. JLM?? Anyone local?? Would you like a lift? Or perhaps some more of you will be making your own way there. If you are can you post so we know to look out for you!!
I am determined to meet everyone on the forum eventually! lol!

We, being myself, BLME, WGirl & WGuy, have just returned from a fantastic day out at Abingdon Fayre.
Weather brilliant flying machines - magnificent Even though one of the BIG HELOS had a problem with one of the rear landing wheels - it 'dropped off!!!!') and had to abort the display!!!
And, we introduced ourselves to a few more forum members. Rotorcraig flew in - in a R22 (photos to follow) Later in the afternoon, while we were queing up for our hotdogs and a cuppa, we met Orange Arm Waver!!!
So, all in all, a very pleasant trip - glad we made it to Abingdon - highly recommended

Had some good flying to and from Abingdon; arrived before the end of the model display so got held off in the area between Abingdon / Oxford / Brize Zone for 10 minutes which was good fun! Great RT on the way in ... we were really impressed with "Welcome to Abingdon; vacate second right and head for the Chinook"
Met up with WhirlyGirl, WhirlyGuy, Catwoman and Blme and spotted Orange Arm Waver in the hot dog queue but didn't manage to speak!
Have never queued up for 1 hour and 20 minutes for a burger and coffee before ... good job that they were nice when we got them, and that we had a good view of the displays from there!
Didn't notice the wheel fall off ... which heli was that? Enjoyed the Lynx display, but as always thought that the Chinook and Merlin stole the show.
Nice weather and great visibility for the trip back, and fantastic to be able to jump the long line of fixed wings queueing for departure!
Nice to meet you all, still hope to make the Sunday lunch at Barnsdale!
