I see that the CAA are running the Safety Seminar again this year.
I attended last year and had a very worthwhile day.
Hope you can get along as a visit to the AAIB hanger does bring you down to earth

I heard that it can be a little morbid though... yes?

I suupose it would bring us all down to earth and re-evaluate the way we do things so probably not such a bad thing.

i was always told that you learn from mistakes, normally your own.

Nothting to bring to you down to earth more than seeing the wreckage of your instructor's helicopter where his son died.

Meet other pilots from the rotary world and learn.

From my limited experience, rotary pilots are very isolated, as they tend to fly from private sites. If there is a chance to learn from others do it now.

Went a couple of years ago and well worth the money just for the AAIB visit. The Pan Am 747 was still there then and that was creepy - not the sort of place you want to be at night and alone!

Dennis K was there too - guess it probably wasn't the first time he'd seen the wreck but rather him than me Sad

Bit like the Robinson safety video.... not nice but if it saves just one life then its worth it.

Tuesday 9th November in Farnborough
They have moved the venue to a better Hotel with easier access to the AIIB.
Seeing the Jumbo and a variety of Helicopters in pieces is an experience to appreciate and avoid
