I would like to do the Robinson Safety Course sometime this year, and was wondering if anybody else would like to join me - I have no idea when or where they are, but perhaps if we do some research and find a centrally located course, a group of us could do it at the same time.

Any ideas? Those of you who have done it before might be able to shed some light on where they usually hold them and what is covered etc.

M' Lady,
Though I am far afield from the shores of the United Kingdom, I did a bit of an internet search and found this link, which may be of some help to you.

Thanks for the link! If I'm not mistaken they also run one at Wolverhampton and Sywell. I will have to do some digging around.

Anybody interested, if so, we can start to look at some dates.

Also found one at Sherburn Airfield, with Hields Aviation and Dick Sanford - a 3 day course which runs twice a year.

Have you done one of their courses heliaviator? Or did you do one at the Robinson Factory?

I'm told there are still three spaces left on the East Midlands Helicopters course.

Sloanes run a Single Day Safety Course which is modeled on the Robinson Factory Course, but condensed. It's a day in the classroom (hence the name!) followed by a practical session booked separately.

I was going to attend in December but couldn't due to work committments; haven't yet got myself booked in for 2006.

Hi,
I run the Robinson Safety Course at Sloane Helicopters and last year we modified it from the old 2 and a half day course (including 1.5Hrs of flying) down to a 1 day classroom course with the flying arranged for another day.

We made this change as we found that a lot of people didn't want to eat into their precious holiday allowance and that we can cover the technical side just as well in the day.

If there's a group getting up for this, I would certainly go for that in march or April, and stay over for some flying on the Saturday.

Cool, glad you like the idea, feel free to PM me if you have any further questions, or call me at Sloane's 01604 790595 (my name's Joe!).

Unofficially it sounds as though there are 5 people that are up for this, so post your preferred dates and we'll get together then (or perhaps its easier to post when you CAN'T make it and we'll work around that.)

I don't mind what the date is, weekday or weekend, as long as I get about a month's notice.
