Just to let everyone know that it is now official!!!

My pilots license just came through this morning!! Very Happy

A massive thankyou has to go out to my Wife who if it hadn't have been for all her hard work then I would have never had the opportunity to fulfill my life long dream. I love you WhirlyGirl XX

Next up a massive thankyou to all my Instructors at Heli Air - especially Mr Browne (A.K.A. Capt. BLME)

Thankyou for all your hard work in keeping me straight in the air!
Also a big thankyou to Catwoman for all her support aswell.

See you all in the air sometime. Hopefully not too close though!

See you all soon.

W-Guy

Congratulations!

(Has it really taken nearly two months to get the licence through?)

It sure did take it's time! Although the CAA were pretty quick to take the money - we had a receipt just a couple of days after posting it, then had to wait several weeks for the actual licence!!

Yes, it really does take two months to get it.

When I received mine, it came in a jiffy bag with my log book. All there was were some printed bits of paper; it was quite a while before someone told me that there should have been a little plastic wallet to put the bits of paper in!!

The daft thing is, is that you cannot fly solo until you have the bits of paper in your grubby little mitts.

Cheers

I don't remember mine taking quite that long - I think it was nearer a month.

And for my R44 rating, I've got the licence back within 3 weeks.

I guess some are just luckier than others Smile

Pretty sure that you can fly solo (officially you are still under tuition, but you can continue to fly as a solo student) until the licence comes. What you can't do is take passengers up.
