Where is "usual venue"? Or is it top secret? Wink

My HCGB application is on Jeremy's desk as we speak.

Thank you. Have you been to the AGM before? What's it like?

This is probably a silly question but do people fly in to this event or is it by road only??

The HCGB AGM is for members only and takes a standard format of approval of minutes, election of new directors if required, brief look back at 2005 by Chairman, news of this years events and a possible talk by someone of interest finally followed by lunch if you wish.

Members can fly or drive which ever suits or weather permitting.

If flying : Approximate GPS co-ordinates N51 56 04 W001 28 12

Land on grass lawn on NE of hotel which can been seen on the following map: www.heythroppark.co.uk/map.html

Self announce on 129.95

All arrives from North East, be at 500 feet or below, descending or climbing within 2nm of Enstone airfield to stay below their circuits. They would appreciate a call on 129.87

Lunch needs to be booked through club secretary by 1st March.

Did anyone go to the AGM.

I popped along to see the arrivals.
2xMD500
3x Jet Ranger
5x R44
2xR22
2x Gazelle
1xEnstrom 280
1xEnstrom 480

and a partridge in a pear tree . Actually a Chinook from Odiham.

I believe there was a mix up by the hotel about the landing site. The instructions said land on the north east side but they had the Womens England rugby team ( worth watching I say)practising on the rugby field next to the landing site.

Hopefully the Chinook got out without disturbing any of the adjacent helicopters.

JTL, Think the forum has been there before!!

One JR had a stay where it first landed. Starting a JR to reposition 5 mins after shutdown, even I know and i don't fly, is a definete No-No.
I'm sure Mr Wozza will confirm that.
