Sounds like a great idea, although most of my summer is going to be taken up with the remaining CPL work I'm afraid. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I'd say it would be more realistic for me to think about it for next year - I haven't a clue how the whole thing works, and it sounds like a lot of time needs to be put into the training. Some handy hints from TC wouldn't go a miss I guess! Laughing Wink Laughing

We will try to get along to watch this year though - it would be great to meet up with all you.

Dear All,

The HCGB (http://www.hcgb.co.uk/) website has some details - and a microsite dedicated to it is available to HCGB members.

I'm not aware of a publically available one, though.

We're a fortnight away from this year's Helichamps being held at Sywell. Just wondering if there are many Helitorquers going to pop along and watch on the Sunday? Very Happy Cool

TC - are you taking part again this year?

(Umm. If there is any such thing as an accurate 14/15 day weather forecast, Sunday's weather should be (predictably) fairly miserable!! Sad )

Hope to pop along and watch/support though.

Bugger

As I said, both Russ and I were too busy and couldn't find the time to practice. Unfortunately neither of us told Russ's secretary and she paid our entrance fee about 6 months ago - we found out on Monday when the heli club sent us our competition number.

Couple of last minute practice sessions are in order - I think our chances of walking away with trophies are somewhat diminished Smile Should be a laugh though...

Does anyone know what the schedule for the weekend look like yet?

Heard on Friday that the Navex may not actually be run out of Sywell, but instead out of a local private site. But that was unofficial from someone trying to find out themselves - can anyone confirm or otherwise?

Spectating is always better for the skills events anyway (unless you like departing and arriving a/c) ... so is that happening Saturday, Sunday or both?

Interested in meeting up with Helitorquers, but need to decide whether Saturday or Sunday better for spectators?

Traditionally, the slalom and fender events happen on the Sunday, but I've seen nothing official. My intention is to be there on Sunday. See you then! Cool

Oh, and I've received an email from Jeremy James this morning regarding availability of catering facilities.. basically, there isn't much available!
