We are taking a picnic to Sywell!!!

A few others are also taking their own food.

We could have our first "HeliTorque Picnic"!!!!

Anybody want to join us?

(JTL & Rotorcraig - have already PM'd you).

Not sure of our ETA yet - possibly late morning.

Weather looks set to be OK!!!

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

As you're arriving by bike, I presume you're not cramming picnic chairs and table into the panniers? Wink

I'll have to see what I can get into R44. Haven't thought about ETA yet, but it'll be 20-25 minutes after my ETD from here... Very Happy

Four of us flew down to the Heli Champs at Heythrop a couple of years ago in an R44 with our picnic - along with a picnic table and a couple of folding chairs (the ones that fold up to the size of an umbrella)!

We will be bringing picnic and rug only this year! And, of course, the camera!

And I will be bringing good weather with me (I hope!!).

Short notice perhaps....

But if anyone wants to "drop in" to my place afterwards I'm sure we'll have some food & a cuppa going.

Sorry people, can't make this one this year.

Have got the paving slabs to lay this weekend.

I'm marshalling at the PFA Rally at Kemble next weekend, so best stay at home this weekend.

Have a good time!!

Sorry we can't make it either - got home in the early hours after a long drive up from Heathrow. Got a to-do list longer than my right leg! Sad

Hope to see you all at the next one if not sooner.

But for those of you who are going, I have created a Helicopter Championships Gallery so you can all upload your pics when you get home! That way us who are at home working can see what you've all been up to on such a glorious day!

I expect to see it full of pictures. Wink

Just got back from flying down to Sywell - lovely day for it (the championships and the flying!).

Once again, I appear to be sunburnt; although I even had cream this time. That'll teach me to think Miss Helen's factor 8 will be alright. I need factor 50. Even in the UK.

Just about to plug the camera in; so give me a while to trawl through the few hundred pictures.

Good to see so many familiar faces!

We have just got back from Sywell! Photos have been downloaded so will pick out some "interesting" ones for the site!

Weather today was 'fab'!! Somewhere around 27 degrees C!! Even though it was cloudy, it was a welcome relief when sitting outside for most of the day! Still very hot though, and even hotter when the sun came out!!!

Our "1st heliTorque Picnic" was a success!! Plus, it seems, we have recruited a few 'mini-helitorquers'!

Miss Helen has come up with the idea of having a children's clothing section...........and calling it ........ (can't tell you yet - TOP SECRET!!!).

But, it's worth thinking about!

Message to TC - would love to have joined you for a cuppa if we had been in a heli. Didn't go by motorbike in the end - far too hot!! The air-con in the car seemed a much better idea!!

Great afternoon at Sywell, the picnic was a good idea! Nice to meet up with some familiar faces, and to meet some new ones.

The mini-HeliTorquers Katherine & Kieran have now both gone to bed ... Kieran had a busy day pointing at the sky and squealing with excitement when the jet helis started up. And Katherine had a busy day chasing new new boyfriends Wink Laughing

Just stuck 120 photos on the hard drive (I'm not a spotter, James made me do it Laughing ) I'll work out which to upload to the Gallery once I've watched Big Brother!
