Hey congrats on what will be the start of an awesome career.

Make sure you keep us posted as you progress through the training, would be a great insight to many other newbies here who are thinking of becoming military aviators.

Again congrats and keep the rotating side up Smile

Congrats!

Solo already huh! It just starts speeding up, the easy day was yesterday.

Yea, sorry bro. The C-12 is kicking my arse and trying to work it out.

Spent last weekend catching up on the books and sleep. This is the last week of early sim days at Flight Safety, so this coming weekend is looking good. I got your number and will give you a hollar. Im meeting some friends Saturday morning out your way and maybe we can hook up later that afternoon.

well i will try to keep up but through the military (u.s army anywhere else unknown) you have to learn to drink from the firehose and often. small example of what i am talking about.....
afternoon flight line:
physical training at 0530
academics (right now navigation) from 0730-1020 approx.
bus to flight line at 1030-1120
flight line until about 1730-1815
then you have to know at my level right now:

limitations (all)
emergency procedures (all) chapters 5&9 in the op supplement
aeromed, aerodynamics, theroy of rotary wing flight, navigation
flight procedures which vary by hour level

all the above listed items are given in an oral test daily and at any time.

if you fall behind in any one area the others suffer, so getting behind the power curve is really bad lol.

hawkdriver, man i was tryin to link you up with a guy who used to teach civilian fixed wing for several years last weekend. the wife is visiting this weekend so its prob not a good one, anniversary and all. so we will have to link up at a different time.

i did solo, which was good, but the grading curve is only going up............
