Hi guys - sorry been away for so long and that I didn't make the Chrimbo do... Just about settled in here now and remembered that some people said they were interested in attending Abingdon in 2005.

There are due to be some military helicopters present and I know Neil will accept visitors (provided you've booked) both on the day and prior to.

There is a web site:
http://www.abingdonfayre.com/
All the contact details are on there..

Should be a cracking weekend especially if the weather is good.

Happy new year and stay safe!
OAW

Just learnt that the 2 hour display will feature Chinook, Puma, Lynx and Merlin displays.
By all accounts most air shows will have display by only one of those types this year.
I also think that makes 1/3 of the air display acts rotary!!!

So is anyone coming to this event???? Crying or Very sad

We'll do our best... to help publicise the event a little, I have added it to the Events Calendar. Don't forget you can add events yourselves, if you want to get it noticed and get lots of people going!

It would be nice to meet you OAW, if we can get across we will.

See you!

HI there OAW

We were talking about this yesterday (that's BLME, WhirlyGuy and WhirlyGirl and me), and it seems that we are coming along to it. Hopefully we will fly in but will keep you informed on that. Smile

We visited the AbingdonFayre website as well and it looks like it will be a good day.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Just a brief note to say anyone planning to fly-in ought to be booked in the next week otherwise I doubt you'll get in. No PPR no landing and no PPR's given out in the week running up to the event or on the day...
Stay safe folks

We're now a 13.30 arrival; apparently there's a model aircraft display from 13.00 so they've moved us back by 10 minutes to allow that to finish!

Anyone else going?
