I'll definitely come - maybe Helen too, need to check the babysitter situation.

I'll confirm either way (here and phone the hotel) in the next few days.

Unfortunately I must be the party pooper on this occasion, and I was so looking forward to the get-together. Rolling Eyes Trouble is Mrs Copterfan (her eminence, the powers-that-be, the-chooser-of-all-colour-schemes) has decided to deliver the latest Copterfan Clan member on that very day, or so she says Wink

I must admit her rotundity increaseth seemingly daily (I'm glad she's not reading this Embarassed ), so, It will be all hands on deck, Christmas will be hectic.

So, while you are all carousing and gyrating, I'll be up to my neck in nappies, formula milk and sterilising fluid. A jealous eye will be cast to reports on this site... Wink Wink

Hi Catwoman,

Yes, another mini-helitorquer, and a male one at that, to go with my two girls. Very Happy

I must admit that Rotorcraig (congrats Rotorcraig!) has my admiration in getting his better half interested in helo's, and Heliaviator too.

Eldest (9 1/2 yrs) loves horses (they cost!) and Valentino Rossi, but likes helis; middle (2 1/2 yrs) loves Ferraris and hecolopters.....All great, but significant other is indifferent. Shocked

I know, it's hard to believe but, Mrs Copterfan says, 'Oh...another helicopter, they all look the same' to an Agusta 109. Shocked Shocked Shocked

I can only work harder to educate her...I am remiss, Wink Rolling Eyes

Apols for the drift,

Copterfan.

Lol JTL! Yes her education was wasted, she never watched Interceptor (how cool was that 109 meanie? Cool )

Mrs C is marvellous in every other respect, except aviation. We went to Duxford (to expand her knowledge) and as we arrived the Grace Spitfire started up. 'That's loud!' She cried, 'No love, that's a Merlin 66' I whimpered, head in hands. Crying or Very sad

It's like the episode of Father Ted where they are in the caravan, Ted is saying, 'Now Dougal, this is near, and that is far away...' Except our version is (At Barton) - 'Now Mrs C, that is a Robinson R-44, and that is an Enstrom 280fx...' 'They all look like insects to me...' Mad Mad Mad

*Deep breaths*

Squawk out. Wink Wink Wink

Poor Copterfan! I should be grateful, I guess, that Miss Helen at least feigns an interest! Wink

Aww, sorry CF! Maybe you can make it over next year. There has been a suggestion by the hotel that we might be able to have our dinner in a private room called the Tudor Room. I'm trying to get hold of a picture of this room, but I wanted to ask you all what you'd prefer before we make a decision.

So, would you prefer to dine in the Baronial Hall which can hole 70 or so people, or would you prefer a private HeliTorque room for around 20?

Don't need to make an instant decision but though we'd give you the option. I'm not fussed either way - all HeliTorquers are welcome to the afterparty in any case!! Laughing
