This coming weekend, Tollerton (Nottinghamshire) is holding a fly-in to celebrate the 40th birthday of the b206 and the 60th birthday of the Cub.

It's Sunday - all welcome (PPR)

Hopefully see you there.

TC

See you there!

Hi TC

Me and blme can't come along unfortunately.

blme is working - lots of students in at the moment.

And I am in the "hot" seat at Heli Air today (and I was there yesterday and probably tomorrow!!) while M & M are out of the office!!!!

See you soon.

Happy Birthday B206!

Good to see you again, TC! Glad I finally got to meet G-SPEY in the dry; one of its last outings before its facelift!

Lovely photos James. The Bell 206, as you know, is my all time favourite heli. A beautiful machine.

Wish we could have joined you, and t'others, at Tollerton but blme was flying most of the day today and I was working also - at Heli Air!!!!!

We did manage to "escape" mid afternoon and join WGirl and WGuy and their respective families, and some friends of theirs from Sweden, for a late lunch. Somewhere not far from the Belfry.

C U and Miss Helen very soon.

G-SPEY in particular is one of my all time favourite helis (the others primary helicopters used on Treasure Hunt (G-BHXU) and Interceptor (G-MEAN) are no longer with us) - and the first and only other time I've met G-SPEY, was at Weston last year. In the rain... Evil or Very Mad

G-SPEY has so much history, it's unreal! Thanks again to TC for the guided tour. Much appreciated. Wink

As always James - a pleasure Wink

Shame there was a lack of other machines considering it was a widely advertised event - we flew to Cadwell Park afterwards for the Superbikes. Now that was fun!

Great pics JTL, bet the original RAW's are stunning too. Cool

G-SPEY looks in great condition and that certainly befits such a distinguished old lady. Very Happy

Thanks C-fan!

TC was saying that mechanically, she's in top form! (Over engineered by Castle, so it's basically a A109 in JetRanger clothes!) However, photographs can be deceiving! It's still the original paintwork and trim on the helicopter - which is now 22 years old. As TC said, she photographs a lot better than she looks.

I'm looking forward (with some sadness) to the new livery next month!
