Since we have a dedicated military helo forum I thought I would keep the updates for HeliTac here instead of the general forum. Issue 3 is now out. Below is the cover of this issue. The contents of Issue 3 are as follows:

* Things I've Learnt - Leanr by my Mistakes

* Out of Sight but NOT out of Mind - Afghanistan Photo Essay

* Akrotiri Expats - British 412 Ops

* Althea Dragons - Belgian 109s in Bosnia

* Mountain Flying in Austria

* HT-18 Vigilant Eagles - Training Naval & USMC Helo Pilots.

I stand corrected: From the bottom it looks a lot like the L, but I just got the issue today and it is infact a G. Overlooked the details on the nose now that I take a close look. Very Happy

Thor - One question, I know most CSAR birds are grey, so could this be a MH-60K model as this looks like an Army helo and not a USAF CSAR bird.

No this is an AF helo. Note the arrangement of the IR and radar equipment on the front of it. The Army's MH-60K is different as you will see in the photos. The AF HH-60s come in grey and camo, which sometimes looks similar to the OD Green and Black of the Army.

USAF HH-60 in Camo

US Army MH-60K
