I would like to apologise for the recent spell of bad weather. It seems as I try to fit in my qualifying NavEx, it snows, rains, blows or does all three.

Although, all is not lost. As it my Birthday tomorrow, I have ordered myself a HeliTorque sweatshirt (Nice work on all the various designs WG).

I hope that armed with this, my weather luck will change, and I can complete my NavEx wearing it.

So, if you are at Notingham or Turweston over the next few weeks and see an R22 heading in, watch out for a HeliTorque sweatshirt, it could be me!

Nice one rjc! You're going to be the first proud owner of a genuine article of helitorque merchandise!! You must post a picture of yourself wearing it once it arrives!! Laughing

Oh, and we all seem to have that effect on the wx - when ever myself and WhirlyGuy plan a trip somewhere, fog is guaranteed! Laughing

Photo of me, no camera can survive! Shocked

Although I do have some pics of what "tipped me over the edge" to learn to fly. We went for a picnic whilst in NZ.

I can't seem to embed flickr pics in here, so some links instead.

A little remote we neded transport.

Then, me back out in the afternoon for a trial lesson.

After all this, caution was thrown to the wind and I dived into the world of learning to be a pilot. Very Happy

PS: The camera did actually break when we got to Sydney a few days later.

Well, all I did was post some photos, one with me in. Bang, power to the house goes out. I did warn you. I have taken the street with me, no wonder I hide when cameras are about.

Shatterer

Well, laptop, 3g data card - the lounge is lit by laptop.

I'm pleased to say that my luck with the weather does seem to have taken a turn - I haven't booked anything helicoptery for the last month or so, and the weather must be the responsibility of someone else. Very Happy

I predict, that in 5 years time, rjc, you too, will no longer have any weather problems... Wink Wink

(Seriously, you have my full sympathy on the NavEx waiting game... it's very frustrating!)
