JTL - just how organised are you?? New shirts already for events 4 weeks away.... you'll be telling me next you have started your Christmas shopping!!! Laughing

Err, well, MrsJTL2B was wandering around the shops looking for new clothes for her, and I just happened to spot a nice shirt in the sales. So it's been put aside for Christmas. Not really deliberatly organised, more of an accident. As for Christmas shopping - I, umm, have started. Spreads the cost a bit. And I tend to do a lot of it online these days - have to be a little more organised with that, as one has to wait for the stuff to arrive!

And congratulations to you too!

CW,

'Twas the 14th October when Harry arrived (finally). Wouldn't change it for the world now (pardon the cliché); but you should have seen my face when I found out she was pregnant.... by all accounts a true picture.

I guess you can't plan everything in your life after all. Planning is over rated!!

Looking forward to seeing you all.

C.

What sort of time is everyone arriving on the Saturday?

Perhaps I should ask - what time is dinner?! Very Happy Cool

Can't wait! (I'm hungry already!)

And how many intend to fly in? Still not sure if we're flying or driving. Probably driving though.

Personally I'd like to get there earlier rather than later on the Saturday, otherwise it just seems to go so fast! I'd like to get to the hotel, maybe around lunch time, check in, chill out in the bar, walk around the hotel a bit and RELAX! That way it might not be over so quickly, and would be a pity to be in such a lovely place and not having the chance to explore it properly.

If others arrive later then we'll see you at dinner I guess (by the way I do not have any idea what time it is). I will try and give the hotel a ring on Monday to ask about timings. If anyone else knows let me know!

See you there!

Sarah

We are dropping the dog off at the kennels at 9am and going straight from there. The sat nav says its 133 miles and 2.5 hours. we hope to get there around lunchtime.

I can give weather reports as per last year for those wanting to fly in. Apparently there is sloping ground around the hotel but may be possible to land in a farmers field next to the hotel.

So far we only seem to have HC flying? I'm sure there is lovely scenery to see from the air in the Peak District.

Now which shirt am I going to wear?? Dilemma!!

Given the Wx we have been lucky enough to have Rolling Eyes lately, and the 5 day forecast for Friday (Sleet, very poor vis) I will probably end up driving also!

CW / Blme: Are you driving this year?

Hi HeliCraig

Yep!!! I expect we will be driving as well. We can't risk leaving the heli at the hotel on the Sunday because we need it for our early morning Deecopter flight on Monday (lift off 8.15am!).

What time are you geting to the hotel on Saturday?

We are hoping to get there by lunchtime - unless any of our students want to come in to fly.

I have just spoken to Nicki from the hotel who has confirmed that there are 21 people who have booked for dinner and everyone is staying overnight. If anyone has booked in directly with the hotel for dinner only then please pm me asap so I can make sure you have a place reserved at the table.

The time for dinner has not been confirmed yet, they have given us a choice. If you have a preference please reply to this thread by Wednesday. We will go with the majority. The options are:

19:00
19:15
19:45
20:15

The entertainment (whatever that may be!! Yikes! ) starts after 9pm. The menus will be available on the night and we don't have to decide in advance like last year.

Really look forward to catching up with you all again and if anyone is going to fly in then please contact the hotel directly and asap to arrange this (tel. 01335 350 555) as they have a field full of sheep that needs to be emptied!!

See you on Saturday, in the bar! Smile

Sarah

7.45pm sounds good for us - but we will 'go with the flow'.

No preference to time for dinner... hopefully be arriving earlier afternoon if we don't breakdown enroute!

I am informed that 1945 is our preference, but easy going either way! Laughing

As the BBC have revised their Weather ForeGuess to be more pleasant for Sat I will stick with the "I am flying unless I can't" plan.... just spoken to Nicki and they will clear a space for me.

I was asked if mine was "a full size one or a little one" though.... made me chuckle!! Laughing

Not too sure Martin, but I was un-flustered as Size doesn't matter - its what you do with it that counts!! Cool (Apparently!)
