Now that there are at least two Cabris in the UK for training purposes has anyone had any experience in one and how do they compare to the R22 and the 300 as a trainer?

I flown it last september, really nice bird.
Expansive too.
IMHO, this Heli is a really nice one, well designed, his reaction and the way you should fly it is more like a turbine helo.. but with piston cost.
Guimbal claim when trained on the Cabri, you could upgrade easely to EC120 and Europter's products in general.
If you compare to Robbies, the 3 bladed rotor has more energy stored, so autos is a no sweat, also less sensitive to mast bumping, etc... but less reactive either.
As A modern design, you see the difference in cockpit layout, comfort, etc...

Hi.
I fly out of Leicester. They have the 2nd G2 in the UK.
It is a busy little craft, mainly with new PPL students, but there are quite a few students converting to it during the PPL and some after they have passed.
The main bit of feedback is the stiffness of the cyclic, it does not require friction but has an electronic trim fitted.
For new PPL's who know no different they have no issues.
For type rating students, the main issue is stiffness of the stick, rotors going the 'wrong' way and the fenston tail requiring more input that the standard tail rotor.
It is a fantastic little copter, plenty of room and capacity for luggage. 40KG.
one magneto and one plasma generator.
