Oh right! So is it a case if landing at an airport and sort of saying can you re-fuel me! I take it this isnt free. I know there is the landing fee but would there be any more?

I was talking to Sarah today and she mentioned a meet for the pilots. Does this include a flight of some sort?

Mr Robinson quotes a fuel burn rate of between 7 and 10 gallons per hour (most instructors I have come across have suggested 8 per hour is about average), and the two tanks combined can hold 29.7 gallons. I think 7 per hour is a bit optimistic as this would give over 4 hours flight time, and I would say 3 is about as many as you'll get, in my experience (not that I've ever let it get low enough to find out mind you). What does everybody else use as a fuel burn rate?

Last time I did an hour's flight I actually dipped it before and after the flight to see what it did consume and I noticed that it did use around about 8 gallons.

Sarah

Always worked on 8 per hr too - too many varible to be very accurate.

Also the fuel gauges are notoriuosly inaccurate - that was confirmed on the safety course too..
