Anybody going?

Think I am going on Saturday, by car, with Claire & Harry. (Family day out... I'm betting they'll be bored by lunch!).

While most of the seminars aren't really relevant to Heli flying, there is one on Saturday about flying in the London Area given by a chap from NATS which sounds interesting.

I know that Sloane, CabAir and HeliAir will be there, so at least there will be some rotary stuff to oogle out!!

Be nice to meet some of you down there if you were thinking about going??

I was up there today, weather was good. Seemed to be lots of aircraft movements. Sadly, I drove.

A number of trade shows (most doing show specials on various bits), I have to admit I thought it would be larger. Mostly fixed wing with a few heli bits and bobs. Every heli movement got the cameras going though Smile

Enjoyed the day, and came away a little less well off than when I arrived.

Parking no problem, it has yellow signs up when you get near telling you where to go.

Well, David Clarke gave me a free set of Gel Ear seals for my headset (25 worth) - didn't ask, just handed them over as I was asking a question over my headset. Also handed over a small screwdriver set which fits in the palm of your hand.

A new pair of sunglasses, which hook round my ears and don't get in the way of a headset seal (Serengeti Polit 1). I noticed that the Aviation Optical people were there, and on my hit list for the show. They will haggle Wink

Lastly, signed up to start groundschool with CAPT. Phil Croucher was there, but outside the show (if he reads this, Hi!). They didn't advertise that they were there, but you have to walk past them to get in. Seems like a nice chap, knows his stuff and I liked the way the course is run and the material provided. Anyway, that will keep me of the streets for some months to come.

What a great day! throughly enjoyed seeing all of the aircrafts up close. Sad to say but it was the first time i have ever sat in an R22. Crying or Very sad I took some pics so will put them up asap.

I bought: POOLEYS Helicopter manual - Principals of flight
Logbook - for when i start getting some hours in Razz Razz
1 Month to when i think i can have a lesson. It costs alot more when your 18 Shocked am i right?

And lots of free stuff too. The G/F had a great day too. Think i might have converted her to having a lesson Twisted Evil
