Just thought I would ask if anyone else is finding the forum's pages painfully slow to load.
I don't have this problem on other sites I visit so thought there may be problem somewhere in Helitourque's system.
It seemed fine when I first started visiting here but of late has become quite slow to load pages.

Hi Average Bloke,

We have the forum on it's own dedicated server, and I haven't noticed any slowness of late. It's loading pretty quickly here. Is it doing it all the time or just occasionally?

I did notice yesterday that the pages did take a bit of time to load, but that is usually attributed to the connection not the server.

Normally the forum pages load fine. If your problem persists, I would check your service provider and/or computer for difficulty.

Whirlygirl runs a tight ship. Smile

The slowness is consistent WG..as I said, when I first joined it was normal but the last few weeks it has been slow. The top part of the page(red section) loads normally but it takes ages for the rest to cooperate.

I don't think, but could be wrong, that it is my ISP or system as any other sites I visit perform quite well.
If no one else is having problems then I guess it must be my end...I can live with it!

Bloke,

It's not your imagination. The pages area is not loading as fast as usual for me tonight either. The Banner loads fast (red area at top), but the pages lag seconds behind.

Very strange indeed. All other sites load normally.

I guess the webmaster needs to check on this. Right now, there are only two members online, so it cannot be a bandwidth problem.

Hope Whirlygirl picks up on this thread again.

Nite.

Hi guys,

I will look into it once I'm back at the desk! Going out pleasure flying all day now in the JetRanger. Just waiting for the early morning fog to lift!

Was just wondering if that fog was of the meteorological variety.......or of the 'too many rums the night before' variety Laughing

Hehe. By pleasure flying I didn't mean I was taking the Jetbox out for a jolly! Just to clarify, we DON'T have an oil well in the back garden, in fact, I can hardly see the back garden due to all the flamin' weeds (which look more like jungle creepers - no time for gardening this summer)!! Laughing Embarassed

I meant commercial pleasure flying, taking lots of fare paying passengers up for 5 and 10 minute flights. As it happened the fog (of the meteorological variety!!) did lift, but turned to drizzle which didn't bode well with the general public - they decided to go inside to the bar, rather than taking helicopter rides, but we got a good few flights in all the same.

An enjoyable day none the less. Just a shame the sun didn't show it's face a bit more.

Well, I find that when the weeds get real tall, a fast low pass and a quick 360 roll usually clips them down. Shocked Yeah right. Laughing Laughing

I figured it was work, but still, our work is fun for us. Isn't it! Yes, the weather over there can be really strange and very isolated. Never can tell what will be when fog blows out.

Anyway, glad you had a great day. I won't be up again till after our Memorial Day weekend here in the US. Will be flying the "little blackbird" through the mountains and valleys on Tuesday if weather holds for a few hours.
