Thought it may be a good thing to get a fly in organised for October.

By mid October it wil have been two months since the Karting and two months till the Christmas Party.

I have been in contact with our lovely Catwoman and suggested a fly in to Heliair at Wellesbourne on a weekend in October. All weekends are good except the first one ( sorry can't find me diary for the dates.) for Heliair.

See who's available when and we will go with the flow.

Won't be on the forum for a week or so. Pff to Somerset on hols tomorrow.

Martin

We could be, as well - mid to late October might fit better, but any weekend is available. Cool

Is it worth It for someone like me who won't be able to fly there. I'll be able to drive to wellsbourne though! Or is it really only beneficial if you fly!

You are more than welcome to join us. It is good for newbies to be in the company of aviation bods Smile Amazing how much info you can glean from these fly-ins/drive-ins.

As I mentioned to oi_martin, me and blme won't be around the first weekend in October - so any of the other weekends s god with us.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

that's good then! I'm looking forward to it and finally seeing some faces! I'd be available most weekends and by the time we have the fly in!, I'll have 3.5 hours under my belt so I'll have some input to the conversations!
LOL!

Or, another option could be a fly-up to Nottingham to re-visit the Indian restaurant, or fly to another airfield with a restaurant so that students can fly in with their instructors. Smile

Wellesbourne sounds like a good idea...

If it is late October there is a slim chance I'll have got my licence by then! Smile

I don't mind it either being here at Wellesbourne or over to Nottingham.

Must say though that the Indian restaurant at Nottingham airfield is pretty damn fab!!!

Me and blme will "go with the flow" Wink

Hmmm. That certainly would have been the case if we were still operating out of Hawarden Airfield Rolling Eyes Wellesbourne is much easier to get out of. Don't have to call up for start-up/taxiing Cool

Would be good if you could join us (whichever airfield we end up at). Perhaps you could make the Christmas get-together as well ..........

Yea at coventry when the weather gets bad everything ends up slow (minus the helos - they get the best deal really)

You've got Brum with stuff diverting in meaning fixed wing IFR cant get release off 23 easy, inbounds are slow and stuff stacks up. We cope!

Yea i would love to come along to some of the get togethers.

Only just about to start my PPL now though. Wednesday - Super excited Very Happy
