For me, it was Airwolf that did the damage. One of my great regrets is that starting an R22 sounds like starting an old Mini, rather than that infinitely more cool high-pitched turbine whine that was usually accompanied by a burst of the theme music.

I have been tempted to turn up for a lesson with one of these - http://airwolfthemes.com/airwolfhelmets.html - but I fear I'd never live it down. I don't even dare wear my Robinson flight jacket with the R22 patch in the helicopter club - although it gets worn pretty much *everywhere* else...

Sorry to do the whole quotes from a movie thing but i think it's worth sharing ...hard and fast rules of crashing straight through a cockpit...

Thanks Jen at least i know i'm not alone...

Hehe airwolf is ace, the *only* unbelievable thing in the film was the yellow/orange superimposed rockets that could be launched at some very odd angles from a fixed launcher mount hehehehe.

Ahhh love those programs.

And since we are talking about aviation films it is always mentioned, and has yet to be...

Pushing Tin Twisted Evil

p.s its nice to be back
p.s.s the MET office at exeter is amazing!

Hehe. You know which part I find amusing... where the guy (can't remember the character's name) goes for a little walk underneath a 747 on short final to feel the effects of wake turbulence! Hehe. That had to hurt.

As chunky boy says, "Do you believe that?"

Well do you? I think that was trickery at its trickeriest. You wouldn't be lying on the ground laughing after that kind of a flipover really, I think you'd be really broken.

Yep that is 100% film trickery. For a start there's no way a human body would ever bounce like that and the bounce on the body isn't the same as the camera tracking which is an instant in-your-eye giveaway.

Funny film though and has the excellent John Cusack in it. That's one excellently funny actor!!
